Some designs at Market of Stars begin as secrets (with no real plans to release them), created simply because we want to wear them ourselves! Curiosities was one of those prints—until we shared it online and were met with an outpouring of love. Our Stargazer community wanted it too, so here it is: a print born from the pages of a mysterious Victorian scrapbook kept by an unknown woman in Paris around 1870. Within its worn pages, she carefully clipped and collaged hundreds of fragments of her world—delicate bouquets, elegant vases, shooting stars, birds in flight, and a delightfully startled cat who seemed to demand a place in our design :) Set against a backdrop of black on sepia, with a faded brick-red and dark green trim taken from a French block print of the same era, Curiosities is a love letter to the act of collecting beauty. It’s a celebration of the small, the whimsical, and the wonder hidden in ordinary things—proof that even the simplest objects, when gathered with care, can tell an extraordinary story
Every body tells a different story. Our Sizing Guide is here to help you find the piece that feels just right. To help you imagine each style on your own frame, we photographed our collections on two beautiful Muses: Hana, who stands 5'4" and wears a size 4 CAD/US, and Ruby, who stands 5'10" and wears a size 14 CAD/US. Between them, you'll find a sense of how our pieces move, drape, and fall across different heights and curves. No two stars are the same! You are one of one, Stargazer :)
